Default Rear door wiring access

How do I get at the read door wiring access between the body and the door? I think my lock wires are broken and i'd like to reconnect them. I can't seem to figure out a way to pull that boot out. Does a guys have to slice it open then tape it up or something after finished?

You should be able to pop the ends off. The harness at the body will disconnect if you can get the boot out of the way. No need to cut.

I tried for hours to get mine off but I ended up cutting it.
Good luck and let us know what you end up doing.

I just had an issue with my rear driver's side speaker not working. The boot on the body side was easier to get off and i used a computer speaker to probe the wires into the speaker wires (white/red, white/black) on the body side connection and theck that the connection worked up to there (the speaker came on) so I know the wiring is bad after that. I also had checked the door speaker already and knew it is still good!

i just had to fix the lock wires, the boot will slide off the truck side with a flat screwdriver for encouragement. Then the connector has a tab on either side and it will pop out of the truck and you can disconnect it. i found it easier to push the boot through the door panel and get at it that way.
