Default Borla Exhaust

Anyone out there upgrade their 5.7 Hemi with the Borla dual exhaust? If so, what do you think of the sound and any improvements in mileage or noticeable pick-up? Will also like input on the Gibson or Magnaflow system if possible.

Have a good one!

Hello,

The borla system's are nice, but the Maganflow exhaust is the way to go.

They offer a single 3" system as well as a dual split rear system.

Any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,

David

Hello,

Well not trying to make a sale, but was offering a suggestion.

I offer both the Borla and the magnaflow.

In my personal opinion, There is no reason why the borla is worth twice as much as a Magnaflow system.

The borla is not going to make any more power than the Maganflow system.

The Borla looks very nice and fit's really well too, but for twice the price I would go with the Maganflow.

I should also mention, Magnaflow actually stocks there kit's, where Borla you have to wait 4-6 weeks to get anything out of them.

I also think the Maganflow has a nicer tone than the Borla ( Personal Opinion).

Any other questions or comments, please let me know,

Thanks,

David

Thanks for the input and friendly bantering.

Did anyone hear of someone installing a "true" dual exhaust system? Ya know! Custom installed with individual pipes, catalytic converter, and muffler for each exhaust manifold? You think that would improve performance and sound? Might cost a lot more though!

The first trip I took when I left the dealer with my new 05 Daytona was to the local Exhaust Guru to see what I might do to improve the Exhaust Note of my new toy! The window sticker was not very clear about the "Exhaust Upgrade", and as it turns out, the Daytona option included the Borla Cat Back,,,,the arrangement looked a little odd as it goes from the Y collector into a 3" pipe, then into a shiny, long-assed (36" or so) polished stainless muffler, from there it splits into two 2 1/2" exit pipes, over the axle and then out behind the right rear wheel into some very cool looking, but restrictive-diameter stainless tips. The muffler maniac said I could easily get more ooomph out of my truck but would likely lose some performance and or horsepower as the Borla's are dyno-tested for max performance. I truly miss my Magna-Flows, but will have to embrace my current setup. Good Luck, and remember, Loud Pipes Save Lives!!

There has been a few posts on here from people who have went to a "true dual" exhaust. If I remember right, most of them complained about the loss of torque. Try doing a search and see what comes up.

If you have Borla you have some bragging rights considering how epensive it is. I can't recal hearing it on a truck. But i know my neighbors 95 firebird formula the borla system is breath-taking. It sounds incredible. I think the SRT-10's come with the borla system, and so to Daytona's. Ive not heard it though. And over magnaflow, i enjoy flowmaster cause its louder, im young and like the obnxious im bigger louder and meaner then you sound. Besides when i pass by grandma and grandpa i like to **** them off.
