03 ram 2500 4x4 with nv4500 3.73 to 4.56 geras???
i got my 4.56 on and i have a 03 2500 4x4 hemi with nv4500 n i only felt i little of difference from gears 3.73 to 4.56, i only have 20 miles on then, do i have to wait (break-in) to feel the difference on the new gears??.
no mpg gains yet, only a small difference.
let me know guys!!
as far mpg i lost 2mpg?, why is that?.
the 4.56 suppose help with power and mpg city?.
maybe the tires are to small (265/70-17) for the 4.56?
35'' are on the next list, but not now after spending almost 2k on gears.

IMO 3.73 gearing shouldn't even be offered in 2500/3500 gas trucks. 4.10s should be "entry level". Going to 4.56s will increase towing capacity, better your acceleration and increase fuel economy in all except highway driving where you may lose a MPG or two. CTDs have the low end torque to handle 3.73 gearing, but the Hemi does not.
As for the lower temperature thermostat, it's perfectly natural to lose a fraction of your fuel economy, you are creating a condition where the PCM will dump more fuel, increasing performance at the sacrifice of fuel economy. IMO though, with a three-quarter ton truck, gas mileage is an after-thought...

im all abouth low end torque, mpg and down low power.
this is driving me crazy as i spend $1900 for the full install for no result and only a small difference of the line?
