seafoam
I know you guys swear by this, I run a mildly built 4.7 in my dakota, Coming up on 125000 miles, never ran any type of fuel cleaner thru the system, always use 93 octane, would it be a good idea to run a half can thru system. dont have any idle issue, just figured it's time for a cleaning? and what should I look for,

I run a little bit of Lucas Racing Lubricant in every time I fill my tank(every 2 weeks), I just buy the big bottles and pour some in my tank because I also use it on my Diesel Garbage Trucks(my grandpa own a garbage company)
Can't say i see a real difference in performance but it nice to know that it's helping keep things clean and lubricated
i have an 04 hemi with 57k on it and i ran a can of seafoam in her. 1/3 in the gas tank, 1/3 in the oil and 1/3 into the brake boost vaccum line. it smoked a little and i drove it pretty hard after. i didnt have any problems with it either before i put the can in, just wanted to clean things out so to speak. just make sure u change ur oil after about 150-250 miles of driving after seafoam. i heard its not great to go over 300 miles after seaoaming.
I ran it through mine because it was acting sluggish. I changed my spark plugs then ran this for a "just cause". It smoked pretty well and to the comments on changing your oil right after, I watched the video on their website about the seafoam treatment and the dude says ( http://www.seafoamsales.com/motor-treatment.html) @ 45 seconds, that you do not need to change your oil right after just check it at regular intervals.
There is a lot of debate on fuel additives and their value if you run only a top tier gas. However, the only down side to use is lost pennies but no damage if it's not needed. What is more important is keeping the throttle body clean. To support that contension is the fact that Dodge has a TSB (18-016-05) regarding "Coking" on my year truck.
