Default 12v Auxiliary and Cigarette Lighter Not Working

As the title says, the cigarette lighter and the auxiliary outlet on my 2006 Ram 2500 do not work. The aux port in the console works perfectly though so I'm at a loss. Google has also not been very much help as I've tried most of what others have and it does not work. Any words of wisdom?

I'm having a similar problem, but my aux post isn't working and my cigarette lighter port is. Not a fuse, I've checked them.

Does your Horn work?
Fuses would be labeled as Cigar or Aux in most vehicles, not as cigarette....
Horn/Cigar outlet are a part of same circuit.
I'm showing Fuse #'s 1,11,38,40 in my manual for ones to check.

Many Manufacturers tie in the OBD power port to Horn/Cigar as well. Not that is makes any difference, just thought i'd add to it.

Checked all the fuses, even swapped them out just in case and still no juice. I hate electrical issues..

Download the Service Manuals from my sig and look in the electrical section at the electrical schematics and trace the wiring

Upon closer inspection, I found a small piece lodged in the back of the lighter outlet which prevented the lighter or power accessory from making contact with the power plate, so that one is now fixed. The part lodged in there was centered making it appear as though it belonged there. Turned out to be what was left from a power accessory plug the PO must have used.

The auxiliary Power Outlet however is being stubborn. I checked to make sure there was power to the hot wire on the plug, which there is, so now I'm thinking either the outlet itself is bad, or there is the whole top end part of some previous power accessory lodged in there making it look like there is nothing there.

SO, I need a favor: Can someone take a well lit picture looking directly into the power outlet so I can see what it is supposed to like? Mine has a black plastic ring encircling a metal piece. I'd like to make sure that that is supposed to be there before moving on. Once again, Google, Amazon, and eBay have been no help proving me with pictures or information.

For that matter, I can't even find the whole power outlet for sale anywhere...

*I started a new thread asking this favor.

That would be epic, thanks Weedahoe. I'm going to run through a few more troubleshooting steps and if it turns out that I need one, I'll let you know and you can let me know what it'll cost me.

Voila. It is amazing how much can be fixed simply by taking it apart and putting it back together again. Thanks for the input gentlemen.
