Default Wiper Motor Replacement

Well, I have the infamous erratic intermittent wiper issue where the wipers will cycle 2 or 3 consecutive times in intermittent mode, then pause, act normal, then cycle a few consecutive times again. From reading several archives, most have said cleaning the contacts within the wiper motor fixed the problem, some say relays, some say switch on the steering wheel. I fgured I would take a shot at the wiper motor, but was wondering if anyone has pix of where the wiper motor is directions on how to get it out.

Been considering trading this 2005 Ram Daytona in for a new Ram 1500, any thoughts on this?

Sorry no pictures. The ball terrent came apart on mine (07). Went to the drunk yard replaced the hole thing motor/arms and all for $25. As for install, take the wipers off take the valnce off. watch for the plastic pins. The motor and arm assembly is on the driver side. I believe 2 bolts then it comes right off. install the new one.Should take about an hour or less. Make sure you align the wipers correctly.

Just tried the contact cleaning procedure. Contacts were actually not bad. Cleaned them up, bent the arms a bit to get better contact, re-assembled. Still not working right, 2-3 consecutive swipes on interval mode. Looks like a new motor may be next.

So maybe it isnt your motor but rather what controls it. Maybe its your multifunction switch
