Default Body lifts

Okay so its summer and i dont have to drive the ol truck back and forth to high school and college classes each day, bout 90 miles a day lol!, and im going to just go all out with my money on my truck, figured id lift it a little to start. My question is what are the best brand body lift kits, value wise, and they need to come with the bumper relocation brackets. Im also going to get a torsion bar key set from readylift.com.

Are you sure you're set on a BL? I'm not personally a fan of them because of all the relocating and fixing the exhaust and whatever else is entailed with it. I would say it's easy to just do a 3inch lift in the front and maybe a 1.5 inch block in the back. If you do the BL youll still have the factory rake just so you know

I have always thought the PA body lift the best...Personal opinion though as I had a 3 inch BL on my Mazda B2300...Kit was complete with excellent instructions.

Not a big fan of BL either. You have to move stuff back where it was. You could also just do a level kit. What size tires you looking at ? what are you using the truck for. Street, off road. Answer those questions, and that will help you decide what the best way to go. Good luck what ever you decide. Post pics!!

If you're dead set on a BL then PA and Zone are the best two I hear. You can't go wrong with either of them

currently I just want the kit to put some 35"s in it and when i start getting detassling checks ill go for the fabtech 6" system but i want i little more height because i have the big bushwacker fender flares to cover up fender rust and with them on and the stock 265's my truck looks funny. I live in rural iowa with a huge old pasture that when rains hit it just floods up so i want go out mudding, and thats AFTER i get the fabtech on hear body lifts dont hold up well in the offroad. and im not worried about the rake cause my bed almost always full up. And with the readylift torsion keys they advertise i can fit 35's with just those installed, is that correct?

If you're a 4x4 you can crank your existing torsion bars for a "free" lift. I use quotes because you still need to get an alignment afterwards. And with that you can fit 35s but they won't do too well offroad because their won't be room for wheel articulation

And shocks because you'll be topping out your stockers...

DO NOT GET THE FABTECH KIT FOR '02-'05 TORSION FRONT, IFS RAM 4X4s!

This kit puts a lot of stress on the CV axles. There are many documented cases of CV failures with this kit. I believe one former member here had two or three CVs grenade on him. This is a poorly designed kit that is very attractive because of it's low price.

Besides, Fabtech/Superlift is in bankruptcy, so getting parts if needed for future repairs would be iffy...

That's what I'm worried about with my lift when I need new parts. I'm just hoping other aftermarket parts will work
