Default hard downshift

07 ram 1500 4,7l. When I slow down from highway speeds, at around 40km/h there is a gnarly thumb or thud that jolts the truck. It feels like its downshifting hard. Has anyone had this? Truck only had 74000 kms!
Thanks

Are you the original owner? Any shift kits or Sonnax Line Booster installed? You ever dropped the pan and changed the fluid and filters before?

Glad to see I'm not the only one. Mine has done it a few times and even completely shut off on me while driving. Had the fuel pump replaced but the hard shifting started again. Fluctuates while idling in park as well.

The valve body is inside the trans and is not setup correctly can give issues like what you are having. Some guys modify their VB or add shift kits to make it shift faster or more firm
