Default Swapping beds

Can anyone tell me if a 2002 2wd Ram bed fit a 2004 4wd? I know the years arent the problem, I am just unsure of any differences between the 2wd and 4wd beds.

I was doing some reading and it doesn't look that promising. Unless there were changes not made to the frame, then you may have some luck although 2002 is change over from gen 2-3 you might find an issue. Do some measuring and reassure yourself that it will fit, personally i'd wait and find a gen 3 2002.5 - 2008. imo. Not sure what you want to do..accident?

P.S 2nd(2002) gen was carried over for 2500/3500 models.

You might try calling a good salvage yard and asking if their book shows different numbers for 2 and 4 wheel drive, and what years match up.

What does it matter 2wd and 4wd? The box just sits on the frame, no? I know that a hitch i bought (which doesn't fit on my frame) was for a Gen 1 and Gen 2 then Gen 3 went a bit wider, so this could be your issue. Hope you get it solved.
