Ram not so tuff!!!!
The thing I'd like to know is what your son has to say about water getting into the engine? I mean he pretty much would know if he got into "playing" in water deep enough to get sucked into the engine.
If he swears he wasn't frigging around and messing with water crossings AND you believe him then yeah, I agree it's time to lawyer up...

Well apparently June Bug aka my son, did hit a puddle and it sucked water into the CAI. With that being said, my insurance paid for it all (except my deductable). There were no questions asked by the insurance company and they made everything as painless as possible.
The first day of having it back, the bottom radiator hose blew off and it overheated. Luckily June Bug stopped as soon as the gauge crept pass the half way mark. We put the hose on and put more antifreeze in it to get him home. The damn thing overheated again, about a mile down the road. We called a tow truck and had it towed to the dealer.
You should have seen their faces when we were standing in the parking lot when they came to work. The dealership said "we flushed the antifreeze and couldn't find anything wrong!!!!" I think they changed the thermostat and didn't want to say anything. Oh well, the insurance paid for the towing. As of today the truck runs awesome. However, there is a ticking coming from the engine and can only be heard while standing from the side. The dealer claims it is the aftermarket exhaust. It sounds like a rocker ticking and not the exhaust. Does anyone with the 4.7 experience a small ticking noise coming from their block?

cant believe an 08 that hits a puddle cant get a warranty claim, atleast its not out of your pocket(besides deductible) what a hassle. I don't know what id do if i didn't have my truck for that long.
The OP has a aftermarket CAI that allowed water in the engine. A stock air box probably would of prevented this. Thus the claim denial .
