Default hub assembly

I'm looking for more of a confirmation here for what I want to do. Replacing one of my hubs and the f er is frozen in the spindle. I've gotten a bigger hammer to try again. When I put the new on in I want to put a coat of antiseize around the inside of the spindle where the assembly mounts. Its not a rotation point so I think it'd be fine. What says the crowd?

yes. some PB blaster may help get it apart. Anti-seize the splines on the axle shaft. Not alot, alittle bit goes a long way. Good luck

Thanks. I was going to let someone else do it after my first attempt failed. After the $400 price quote, I figured I'd give it another shot..

2wd or 4wd? If a 2wd and you have the 3 bolts off the back of it that holds it to the spindle and nothing else is holding it in place, I would go the hammer route or the air chisel.

Same thing on a 4wd assuming you have the CV out of the way

I have the 2wd. It took awhile, but I beat lolly livered "F" out of it. It finally came out though. Took a 3lb hammer and a pry bar..
