Default 2002 Ram 1500 Front Clunk! HELP!

First post, go easy! I have a 2002 Ram 1500 4.7 2wd regular cab/regular bed. Whenever i drive under 35mph and either the front right or front left tire hits a bump or pothole, no matter how miniscule it may seem, it makes a loud clunk. Even worse if im near 35mph it will give a slight wobble for a second or two. But, if i hit a bump that makes contact with both tires at the same time the clunk/wobble never occurs. Nothing is felt through the steering wheel, just the floorboard. Ive replaced the ball joint on the drivers side but that made no difference. If its scorching hot outside the clunk usually goes away which leads me to believe it could just be a few bad bushings. I had it lifted and looked at by the mechanic up the road and they said everything appeared to be fine. I mentioned how bad the sway bar link bushings on both sides appeared and he told me they were only "dry rotted". They are white and no longer firm... If i transfer the weight from side to side you begin to hear the clunk on whatever side the weight is then transfered to. My steering is fine but when taking a corner at a moderate speed the truck leans a whole lot. If you're sitting in the center you litterally have to hold on to something or youll end up in someone elses lap. This would be due to the sway bar/sway bar links, correct? the only problem is there is no clunk when turning... odd. Let me know your opinions/solutions!

maybe get another mechanic or even a shop that specializes in front ends to have a look at it.

Mine used to do it and I know it was my sway bar links although my lower BJs needing replacing also. I solved it by literally replacing everything on the front end so i can say what exactly it was but I dont have it anymore

Haha well it's my first car and Im about two months from paying it off so I'm trying to completely narrow it down to getting the clunk to stop so I can just sell the thing an take what I get for a down payment on something a little better with gas. 10 mpg city is awful. Did you have to replace the entire sway bar links or only the bushings?

I had a issue close to that. I thought it was a ball joint but it turned out to be there were some bolts loose in the suspension. I took it to les schwab to have them look at it, they figured it out and tightened with out charge. I dont remeber exactly what the parts were that were loose, but might want to have a shop give you an estimate, Hopefully its as easy as mine was.
