Default Need Help on choosing an Intake

I have an 2003 Dodge ram hemi 2500 with a magnaflow exhaust lifted 4.5 inches with 35's. I would like to know what the best cold air or any after market intake would be for the truck.

Most everyone on this site has built their own from PVC. Cheaper and you get the same gains as one you'll pay $300 for.

Its a tube and a filter.... Brands dont mean ****, no one is better than the other. Take the cheap route and do the PVC. I did and I love it

You asked for help and then downed what the man said quickly with little to no experience on here when this topic has been covered hundreds of times and you could have searched the topic or just looked in the DIY section and these is a sticky thread of all intakes used and gains

So that being said PVC pipe will work perfect and it cost about $200 cheaper and you will see same gains

There are only two materials I see out there, ABS plastic and chromed covered ABS. Pay $300 if you want, but the gains from a CAI alone are still going to be in the 5-8 whether you make one or buy one and plastic is still plastic.

The Vararam types are going to give the best gains BUT you risk taking on water to the engine because they get the air from under the front bumper and besides, the tubes ARE STILL PLASTIC...
