I am thinking of buying a new to me 5th wheel for camping. My concern is that the 5th wheel weighs 14,000lbs when loaded. My ram can handle just over 13,000lbs. I have already put in a new air intake and a larger exhaust for better breath ability for the engine.

What is the difference between a 2500 and a SRW 3500? How can my quad cab short box 4x4 handle this load?

 

I think that you'll hear from the group (and I fully agree) that going over the stated load capacity is only asking for trouble - especially at those weights.

 

I personally wouldnt not want to pull even close the max. Thats just me
