2500 Coilsprings on my RWD 1500: Need Help
I'm in need of info, as I have ordered the wrong parts for my truck..
2002 1500 Quad Cab SOHC 4.7L RWD
I went with a 2in lift all around as I tow a race trailer, and don't like the level look daily and then saggign while towing.........
I used Rough Country spacers up front and standard blocks in the rear.....while also replacing the shocks with Bilstein HD's...
I ordered part # 24-184847 (wrong mounting, and not longer)......I have been riding on stock front shocks, toping them out on every speed bump!! lol
I AM DONE WITH THIS AND WANT TO FIX IT!!!
After research, leading me to join here and such....I need verification....am I correct?
I need Bilstein part# 24-186063 (correct mounting "T" and 2in longer, but found only for a 2500 van??)
NOW SPRINGS!! I'd like new....
I saw length varies per corner?? that true?? I seen Reybestos? Moog? and Rockwell......
I also seen a part# listed the same for the 6400 and the 7500 rates and truck.....I don't get it......I don't want to end up with the same spring I have....and still w/wrong parts!
I tow a lot, and finally decided to get rear leveling bags, so the 3/4in lift from the 7500 v8 springs will be level enough w/matching shocks of course, leaving the 2in in the back and the bags
the 8800 rates are not an option, I daily my truck....LOL...unless someone says otherwise??
Thank YOU!! I look forward to exploring the community....

Thx for the reply bro, but I know suspension....and I understand I need longer shocks.....that was the point in the first place but got the wrong parts.......
NOW read what I put above and re-quoted............I know I don't need springs, but want that extra lift WITH matching shocks!!! changing my set up not just fixing the "issue" per say
Reading is KEY.....

Ok, so what about this, you change springs to increase weight capacity (and subsequently make a more stiff suspension and harsh ride) but you cannot do anything to your power and drive train to increase towing weight capacity. By adding excessive weight and trying to pull it, you could inadvertently cause life shortness.
But now Im curious as to what you are trying to tow/haul anyway.

tuche!, and what I tow is not that heavy nor bad...
I have a thing about barely getting by with that I have cuz its good enough....
I know that Stock and even just shocks can handle what I tow......but why be at like 80-90% maxed....when i can "upgrade" a bit and tow better at like 60-70% maxed...
get what I mean......
harsh ride?? lol I daily a honda and used to drive my race car daily.....10k/12k rates.....stiff ride is ok with me.....
I'll post pics of my hauler/race car in a few...
