Default Jumper wire !?!?!?!?

Just bought the xpresskit PKCH1 for my keyless entry and push start system from "advanced keys".
On step 4 of the xpresskit manual is says "Using a jumper wire, power up vehicle ignition, without starting vehicle, for approx. 10 secs."
Now my question is: How do I do it??? What is a "jumper wire" and how do I power up the ignition with it?
I googled the $hit out of my laptop but no luck so far.
Would really like to install it this weekend so any help is appreciated.
Here is the link to the manual.
Thanks

You know, if you arent electrically inclined, you might wanna step back from this one.

A jumper wire is a piece of wire you can make or buy (Radio Shack) that you use to temporarily touch from a power source to something you are trying to power.

Powering up the ignition means simply turning the key to ACC or Run but not Start. This should power on everything in the truck except the starter.

Glad to see you over here brother. Its been a while since Ive seen you around
