I ordered a 2006 Ram 1500 (quad 4x4 laramie gps, sunroof, and of course the HEMI) on July 8. I received an email from my dealer yesterday (8/22)saying that it was sitting at the plant waiting to be shipped. Does anyone know how long this takes?? I have been waiting for a while and can't wait to get it!!

Welcome to the forum from a fellow newbie! I belong to some others, but just joined this one to help feed my Ram addiction. I hope you find the place to be as helpful and interesting as I have.

 

I have seen delivery time range from 2 weeks to 4 weeks. It all depends on shipping method and where your stop falls on the delivery truck...

Think of it this way, they are not fed-exing it to you. They put it in a group of other vehicles that are going to a certain area (like your state), then when it gets to that area it is put into a shipment of vehicles going to a smaller sub region (like the largest city nearest to you), then when it gets there it gets delivered to your dealership in whatever order that is convenient to the delivery driver.

 

well all trucks at least for the northeast go to texas then they get shipped up to newyork then trained to somewhere near brooklyn. from there they get trucked out. at least that is what i was told by my salesman IIRC.

I would love to have a sunroof,anybody know if this is possible?,sounds like a great truck.

 

Any good sunroof shop can have a good looking, leakproof power sunroof put in the truck in about 1 afternoon and cost around 1 grand.

 

well it is Oct 19th and the truck is still not here!!!!! this is getting a little frustrating. the dealer has had the vin number for about 4 weeks now so i know it has been built!!!!

hurry up dodge!!!!
