Is this a coincidence?
I changed my engine oil last Sunday, to full synthetic (Valvoline) with a Bosch filter from local Advance Auto.
Removed old filter, opened drain plug let it all drain for probably 30 mins, then filled filter with new oil screwed it on inserted drain plug and put just over 5 qts of new oil in. All done on a flat garage floor surface.
Now i have an oil leak! So i got underneath thinking maybe filter or drain plug, nothing from either they are nice and dry, however the oil looks to be coming from the joint where the engine (right by the oil pan) meets the transmission.
I is that area a prone leak location.
Maybe it was just coincidence that the gasket between the two joints was about to go any way but wow.
Is it a big job to get that repaired?
Thanks
