Default Misfiring 4.7

Had a bad misfire a few weeks ago which cause all sorts of driving problems. It took 2 weeks before truck threw CEL and it was a misfire cylinder 5. I replace my plugs and the coil on cylinder 5 and problem went away. I have noticed under heavy acceleration I am still misfiring but no where near as bad as it was before. When I removed coil from 5 I noticed the spring in the end was loose and the new coil it was not. I have 145000 on truck and was thinking I should just replace all the coils. What is the time frame on a coil when they should be replaced. When I checked the all coils they didn't look bad but I didn't check them other than visually.

Pull your plug out and make sure your plug isnt getting smashed. I had a misfire in different cylinders but both times my plugs were smashed and didnt have the right gap.

Going to check plugs again, its coming up with same cylinder misfire as before. It went away last time when I replaced coil and plugs which is making me think something is wrong with injector.

heads are on truck and was running great for 20 minutes then went to crap. I don't have the codes it was throwing because my friend has truck two hours away. But all the codes referred to the coils which were all replaced new before he got the truck. His dealership where he works is closed so he can't get his scanner till Monday. Any ideas which rout to look at first battery was disconnected to reset pcm. thanks 4.7 2002
