right turn signal not working on both plugs
Hitched up my 5th wheel and noticed my right turn signal wasn't working. Upon further investigation I found out the post in the large plug was not working, nothing to do with the 5th wheel. I then checked the flat 4 plug and realized the right turn was not working there either. I turned on my 4 way flashers and started tracing the yellow(left turn) and green (right turn) wires using a probe style test light. As I pierced the yellow wire with the test probe it flashed bright like it should, but the green wire just came on dim and did not blink. This continued all the way up to the fuse box under the hood. I unlatched the fuse box and pivoted it up and did one more test before the wires went in the box and still the same result, yellow strong blink like it should and the green dim and no blink.
So now what? All fuses looked ok. Where do the wires go after fuse box? Why am I not getting good power to the right turn. The right turn on the truck itself works fine, its just the right turn on anything I am pulling. Could it be the turn switch in the truck is going bad? But the truck signals work fine its just the trailer signal.
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

could be one of a few issue's.
Bad ground.
Bad multifunction switch.
Bad tipm.
The 2006 models had a known trailer circuit isue with the directionals and would cause the tipm to trip the circuit. Dodge revised the programming and upped the current capcity. However, I think you may have a multifunction lever issue. This is the turn lever mounted to the steering column btw.

I have been researching the multifunction switch for my truck. Should be part no 560499823AB according to the internet. So I take the one off my truck and it is no. 56045515A. Upon further research there is also another no. 56049823AA that is for my truck. I suppose these are different rev levels just wondering which is the latest and greatest. I know dodge has had problems with these things. Also the price swings from about $117 to $50.95. Any suggestions?
Chrysler extended the warranty for this issue on all 2006 Rams
Hope this fixes your problem.

I took the above warranty info to my local dealership and they told me this is ONLY for if the left goes on when turning right and visa versa, not the problem I am having, therefore it is not under warranty. I would have to purchase one at $117. Should I go back and be more persistant or are they telling me the truth? It seems to me if dodge is having issues it wouldn't matter what the problem is.
Thanks for the help everyone!
