Looking into buying a tuner for my 2008 ram 2500 hd hemi. Use primarily to tow 20 foot enclosed trailer tired of the stock trans up shift than down shift on a hill. Want a little more torque so when it up shifts i can stay there not back and fourth. Like the 3950 cortex but also have a 1500 hemi and he has the edge evoht and loves it. Help needed or advise in another direction thank you

I love towing and driving my truck now with the altered trans tuning capabilities. Shifts when I tell it to(with gas pedal position) so going up a hill at the same speed and same pedal position will NOT allow it to upshift on you. At certain cruising speeds just above or below what I cruise at, very light pedal pressue downshifts. No more foot to the floor delayed engagement. It's an extra $40 just so you know, but well worth it!!!

 

The big names in tuners for us gassers is SuperChips and Diablo. Leave the Bullydogs and the Edges to the diesels

 

Superchips would be the best all around for your truck unless you intend to mod deeper.

bully dog gt tuner gave me 43 horse and 45 more torque on the dyno bout 13 more hp and 15 more ftlbs or torque than superchips

 

On a hemi or a 4.7. There ad told me the same then once I called them to buy one it only gave me 10 to 15 horses

 

I love my superchips flash paq and trans tuning is awesome

 

Even if the Bully Dog makes that much HP it doesn't have the trans tuning that SC has. Which once you play around with that you'll gain extra HP from the reduced parasitic drivetrain loss
