I'm looking at purchasing a fifth wheel camper and plan to pull it with my 2005 Ram. The problem that I'm having is I can not find a definite answer on towing capacity of my truck. The truck is a Quad Cab, 4x4, 6ft bed, 20" wheels, and 5.7 Hemi. Not sure what other details are needed but let me know if more are.
The camper that I'm looking at has a total dry weigh of 6360 lbs and a tongue weight of 1120. The only thing that I'm thinking is that the rear suspension might need a little beefing up. I've towed a number of trailers, boats and other things with the truck but never a fifth wheel and nothing this big and heavy.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Here's the towing capacity/limit breakdown by truck style

Those weights max you out. I'd keep your packing load light.
I would recc'd airbags for the rear suspension. They are between $180-300 depending on brand. They aren't that difficult and can be done in your driveway for install.

You are probably going to exceed your GVWR on the truck. Some people don't mine that too much but you probably don't want to exceed the rear axle rating. You might want to weigh your truck with everything in it that you would normally take while towing and see where you stand on weight on the rear axle. A fifth wheel hitch adds another 100-200 lbs depending on whether it a slider or not.
