Whistling/hiss from motor
Just use the fluid recommended in the Owners Manual... Dodge vehicles do not like anything other than OEM equivalent fluids, I've noticed.
Specially when it has to do with their Mopar Friction Additives.....

OEM Trans/Diff fluid is best for anything Dodge I've found... can't go wrong with it.
This is my 3rd Dodge, I used an expensive synthetic on an auto trans on my 2nd Dodge and the thing freaked out, shifted all kinds of funny (even rough at some points), didn't sound right... drained it and put OEM stuff in... wow! What a difference!

Update or fyi, the hissing turned into a whining in January. Changed the belt tensioner pulley. Noise is gone. Started to sound like a bad ps pump! Izero was correct in the very beginning.
I have the same problem. mine is a low whistle and only happens when light throttle is applied. It started after i cleanded throttle body and used seafoam treatment in the vacuum line. i installed all new gaskets and checked for vacuum leaks as well as cai connections no leaks found.
Glad I could help.
