I have an 05 dodge ram 1500 with the 4.7L motor. I am out of town so I had a friend start it for me. The battery was dead. He said he jumped it and it started but smoke started coming from the vents above the radio. He removed the radio and jumped it again. It started and no smoke this time but would die as soon as he disconnected the cables. He replaced the battery with a new one. It fires right up and runs but now there is no power to the accessories unless the key is in the ignition. ie.. Power door locks, interior lights and horn. However the mirros and set adjustments work. All the fuses under the hood are good. Any ideas?
