Default Hemi idles rough still

I put a post here a few weeks back indicating I had a rough running engine. It was slugish and hesititating on the highway tell I matted it, stalling at times in the city, hunting idle. I replaced EGR, bank 1 sensor 2 O2 sensor and have replaced the back one now as well and a new battery. Still idles like **** and at times gets better then worse again. Idiot light shows PO138. Would a broken valve spring cause motor to run rich and thorw that code.. Tail, pipe is black as night inside but the exhaust looks normal colour. I'm starting to wonder now??

Im having all the same problems!!!! Bout to go crazy truck wont start now. I had black stuff shoot out the tail pipe and when i removed the bank 1 sensor 2 o2 it was covered in black. My truck trys to start but cant stay running even if you paid it!

And the o2 you changed (bank 1 sensor 2) that was the one post cat correct??

And when i changed my bank 1 sensor 2 o2 it went back to great gas milage and ran great(no bad idle at all) until the second or third start and even changing back to the stock o2 sensor left me stranded with the same rough running problems. I ordered a new o2 and it is the original NGK brand that they put in the truck because i heard only the original would work correctly

Could it be the Map sensor?
I had a dodge that went through them every 6 months or so... Symptoms were the same but I'm not sure if the newer trucks use them.

What year was your dodge? Or is it the same one?
I have heard it could be the map sensor but no one has any good answers.

Mid 80's and it would load up and run really rich I kept spare map sensors in the glove box just in case. Bout $20 apiece back then.

I haven't had my Hemi for a couple years.. but what you are describing IIRC sounds a lot like a clogged up Throttle Body. Look up the word "Catch Can" online, and include "throttle body" to find other experiences with it... you'll find instructions on how to clean your TB... if its plugged, clogged up, your hemi won't be happy.

I have a catch can. Not putting the oil spill over back into my truck.
It has been about 3,000 miles since the last cleaning but its still not dirty
