Although my past experiences with another car were keeping me away from the whole CAI concept, I too fell into it and bought the Mopar CAI. Wow what a growl the engine has when you stuff the pedal! I'm curious to see if I reap any MPG savings once I get over thumping the gas pedal all of the time.

I have the Ram Air Srt-10 air box for the Ram Daytona. Made my hood functional by eliminating the hoodscoop plate and installing a billet grill and a hood scoop conversion kit from www.hambekcustoms.com specifically designed for the SRT-10 and Daytona Hood. Should increase HP by 10-15 HP. Also installing JBA Middie ceramic headers with "y"-pipe that will give me an additional 15-25 hp. Checked with Borla and they recomended JBA middies to give a more complete integration with their already tuned exhaust system for the Daytona .

Good Luck! John

The new thing I just heard about was the Trueflow CAI. They're not as "pretty" as the AEM's or K & N's or Mopar's, but it's a foam filter. The foam not only allows more air than the traditional paper filter, but it supposed to filter out more dust and dirt than the cotton gauze CAI filters. I don't know how well it will work, but I'll post something as soon as I find out.
