well, on my truck i found out what the problem is. It is the fuel pump. It is freezing up and not pumping. need to thump on the tank with a hammer then it starts up. Just sucks cause its 230 bucks for a new pump alone.

Ever let your engine stall because you ran out of gas? I see over the years that the fuel pumps in Rams can't deal with pumping dry and it usually does them in. Also, if not treating ethanol laced gas and leaving it in the tank (seldom using truck) can also very easily do in a fuel pump. Are purchasing ethanol free gas or at least treating E10 if that's what you're buying?

May have also been the issue with Nancy's truck, but we'll never know...

I took my 08 Dodge Ram 4.7L to the dealer On tuesday. The performed a star scan on my truck and found some internal codes in the PCM. The cleared the codes and flashed and reprogrammed my PCM. they also said my battery tested bad and replaced it. I have been driving it for two days and so far so good. The PCM has to be scanned at the Dodge Dealer.

Default 08 Dodge Ram Stalling

I decided to change my plugs. In the manual it says that the top plugs are standard plugs Bosch FR8TE2 and the bottom are premium plugs. I remember when I changed the plugs there were two different kind in the truck. I put Pulstar Iridiums in both places as the salesman told me that I could. My truck started dieing after the plug changeoput. I have since replaced the top plugs with the manual recommended plugs. I found one of the iridium plug electrodes to be burned up. I'll see if th is fixes the stalls

I know nothing of the 4.7 spark plugs but i do know that the Hemi is very picky to what goes in them, dont always trust the slalesman.

MY 08 Ram 4.7 has not stalled since I replaced the top plugs with the OEM FR8TE2 Plugs. Been over a month now.
