Shocks: I got whatever Tires Plus put on mine. I just had them do it when I was getting new tires.
The vibration could be anything. You have 150K miles so the suspension is getting pretty worn out. Start with the shocks. I wouldn't say it's the rear end unless it was making noise. Basically over the next 50-100K miles you should go ahead and change out bushings, ball joints, wheel bearings, u-joints, Tie rod ends. That will keep your truck riding nice and more reliable. Worn out parts can cause others to wear prematurely. I changed out my shocks around 150K miles along with wheel bearings. I'm at 200K and just now changing out the ball joints and drive shaft U-joints. Next will probably be the tie rod ends. The motor mounts and tranny mount could probably be replaced to help stiffen things up under the hood.

^ok, so I have to take the hub apart? Also, my front shocks have a spring around them. Does the part I need to buy come with the shock and the spring together?

no, it's just the shock...the spring should last MUCH longer. Oh, rule of thumb for changing shocks. If you hit an average bump in the road (like going over a bridge or something) and your truck bounces more than 3 times, they are worn out.

big O.... Wtf lol. Shocks are simple to swap. 30 minute job, if that long. Pretty much four bolts in the rear, the front is a little different, but if you look at it, it's simple.
So, there's struts on the front of my truck and I need a spring compressor to take them off. Or I can just buy the whole strut/spring assembly and do it that way.

Is it a 4x4? If so, you probably have struts. If not, it's just a shock inside the coil spring. Hell, man. Just get under and look.
