Default 06 Ram 1500 MegaCab rear end problem and request input from the community

I own a 2006 Ram 1500 Mega Cab 2WD that has a bad carrier bearing. I would like some input and advice form those who have had the problem, or are experts. I do alot of work on my vehicles for years, but have never worked on a rear differential. Should I repair just the carrier bearing ($500-700), rebuild the entire rear ($1900) 12 month/12000 mile warranty by Dodge. Would you leave it stock (373) or replace it with A 410 ratio? What else should be done along with the differential? I really want to do what is best for the vehicle so that I can drive it and continue to enjoy it. Your input is greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!

Keep in mind if your pickup is 4x4..If you change the rear ring and pinion to a 4:10. You will also change the front to a 4:10 also..1900 bucks is sky high for a rear end job..Get a quote from a rear end shop you will save at least half and get a better job with same warranty..

I paid $500 for all the bearings to be changed in my rear diff. along with the hub bearings at the end of the axels. You are getting ripped off by taking it to the dealership. Any good shop can do it right and have you back on the road with the rear diff lasting another 100+ thousand miles without any issues.
