Default 2004 molded running boards

I have a set of factory molded running boards that I want to install on my 2004. They did not come with the (looks like) square metal posts that extend down from the rocker panels that the u-bolts bolt to, so I have to buy the parts or, if they are not available, figure something out. But I am not even sure what I am looking for so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Many Thanks!

Had you asked this a month ago, I could have taken photos for you. If you don't get a good enough answer int he next few days I'll be able to help you a little better when my ship gets home.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't thought about it but a few photos would definitely help a lot!

I got them dirt cheap in the correct color on ebay; caveat was the template was missing for drilling the holes. So I had to very carefully fit everything about 50 times, then start drilling. Finished product is great though.

What I am trying to figure out are the brackets that bolt to the underside of the truck that the brackets that are on the running boards fit into. I am pretty sure that they are some kind of square metal - maybe 3/4 inch square - and slide onto the brackets on the running boards which are held in place by tightening the u-bolts on the running board brackets. I have these pictures of the running board brackets with the u-bolts on them.

The holes for the brackets are actually already in the underside of the truck with tape over them from the factory. I just need to slide the nuts in them to the hole the bolt will go in so if I have the right brackets I don't have to drill......

Those aren't the holes for the running boards. Do you have the instructions for it? I'll have pics for you tomorrow. The only way you won't have to drill is if someone already drilled it for you.

No - I don't have the instructions for installing them. All I have been able to find are the instructions for installing the tubular type of running boards, which are what is on my truck now. I saw one post referring to a template. I went to our Dodge dealer and the parts department there can't seem to get information about these running boards. I really appreciate your help......

And here are some pictures:

These boards are actually designed to handle weight, so you need to be sure you have it mounted right.
