Would a TB cleaning benefit those of us without a 'drive-by-wire' system like the newer TBs?

I would assume, prolly not near as much but the sheer fact of not having all that gunk in the way of the air flow could help those who dont have dive by wire

Cleaning the TB sure seems to make a difference. I don't do mine that often. I just did the one on my C after 25K. It wasn't very bad at all. In fact, just the blast from the brake cleaner wiped it all away. The Ram, on the other hand, needed serious scrubbing (after 90K).

TB cleaning once per year just in case. PCV, not yet but its coming as soon as I figure out what Im looking at when I get in there. 114,000 miles probably could use it.
