i did this with my 3.7l, i would have done better buying another truck, i paid 5k for mine then another 5k after the motor blew.... the first time.... for the same price i paid to have mine fixed i could have gotten a 4.7l they had on a lot up the street for the same amount

 

I think i would have kept the v6

If you are considering buying used for cheap I have a 4.7 that I just pulled that I would sell. I pulled it only because I wanted to upgrade to a bigger more efficient 5.7 with the MDS. That also means that I have computers and such that you might also need if you sunk your truck...
