Default Sirius Wire for OEM Antenna?

Hey

So I know that all of the Sirius enabled Dodge vehicles had a dedicated Sirius antenna connector (coaxial type) up to 2006 when it seems to have disappeared....

I haven't started digging through my trucks radio system to figure out if there is a Coaxial Sirius wire buried somewhere beyond the radio, but I know that there isn't one connected to the back of the radio with the exception of the AM/FM wire.

So my question is, does anyone know if there is a Coaxial wire that can be used for an aftermarket stereo because we all know that nothing beats the OEM Sirius/AM Antennas...

Any help would be appreciated before I start getting into it.

No, you can't use the stock Sirius antenna. I had to buy one when I upgraded to a different radio, and I had the navigation OEM system.

I have a hard time believing that being an MECP certified installer for a number of years through getting my BS in engineering.

Sirius & XM are known to only use Coaxial cables from their antennas so there's gotta be a way... we just have to find out where the wire changes into a standard twisted copper wire.....

So far I have found out that Dodge hides the Sat box behind (and above) the glove box... So I'll be doing some digging unless someone else has pictures already....

Okay so I think I have found the answer.

Here is what is needed:

1) Aftermarket Radio of my choice w/ Sirius XM Radio components.

2) This FAKRA Antenna Adaptor:

3) Just disconnect Antenna cable from the OEM Sirius unit

4) Use adapter to connect to new aftermarket components
