Its simillar to a glass pack design but yet way different. Tone being one of the differences, glasspack dosent have much Muffling material, the Magnaflow Muffler however has alot more muffling material.

Some years ago a guy did a showdown on most of the performance mufflers out there using a calibrated setup to show the actual developed back pressure and db of the various systems. I will see if I can find that and post it here.

I do remember finding out that the walker brand truck muffler was one of the best at the time

They have a nice tone to em.. lil louder than a magnaflow.. My neighbor has one on his neon and the thing sounds awesome... granted its a lil four banger.

I had a thrush welded for a while with LT headers, 3" Y pipe, and no cats. It sounded great, but I had 2 of them come apart from the inside.

Went with a straight through magnaflow. Gained 1mpg and it sounds and works awesome.
