hello I have a 2004 2500 dodge ram, after the truck comes up to operating temp, when idling the trans temp lite will come on for about 10 to 30 seconds then go out, no check engine lite, and it only happens when it's in park idling and is somewhat intermittent at best.
I replaced the sensor/solenoid pack in the tranny but problem still exists,
don't have clue where to go from here, any suggestion , thanks

 

Have you checked the tranny fluid level?

 

absolutely, when the solenoid/sensor is replaced you must remove the oil pan to access it, so all the fluid along with the 2 filters were replaced.
