P0733 P0734 P0735 - Yikes!
Truck drives normal in 1st, and 2nd.
As soon as it shifts in to 3rd, it acts like it's in neutral.
Not good.
Any thoughts?
Is this thing toast?

Fluid level looks ok.
Looking through my records it's been at least 2 years since atf fluid change.
I must amend my first description, 3rd is not quite like neutral, if you increase revs, it has some go to it...so I guess it's slipping.
It does down shift, but never goes higher than 3rd..at very high rpms you can get to about 59MPH...
Why would the gear ratios be wrong?

Like kenney said check the fluid, and go ahead and smell it see if it smells burnt. Likely no its not just fluid but its always worth a check
Maybe time for a rebuild
It does not get past 3rd.
You can tell the fluid is used, it is no longer that bright red color, and it smells different, but I wouldn't say it's burnt smelling.

I would have it looked at by a shop. More than likely your are going to have to get a rebuild. Some people have luck servicing the tranny and replacing the selonoid but i dont think you will have the same luck
Tranny issues are real hard to diagnose now a days with all the solenoids and sensors...
If this occurred after off roading check the Transmission output speed sensor and the wires for damage... its located on the d/s rear of your transmission. $40 bucks to swap a new one out ....I'd start there.
