Default Howling noise from rear end (Now with Video!!!)

I have just recently noticed a howling noise coming from the rear end, that's where it sounds like its coming from anyway. I have never noticed this before, I know it's not the tires I'm running cooper zeon ltz's and they have never made a sound like that before. You can start hearing the sound distinctly when the truck gets up to about 20 mph and up, I hear especially when I'm slowing down most likely because I can't hear my pipes when I'm braking. If you have any thoughts please help me out thanks! Here's the video

Could be, but I would start with the rear end. That was right around the mileage that mine went out and had to be rebuilt. Initially the shop did not replace the front bearing in the 'pig' and it continued to howl. Once all bearing and gears were replaced it went quiet.

Thanks man, I mean the howling is not that loud yet but I do notice it and I can hear it a lot better at highway speeds and I know for a fact it's not just the pavement because I took it on the county road and hear the same thing. It also worries me because I really don't want the rear end to blow out on me at 80 mph on the interstate when I'm going home from college. Also check out the video at the top so you can hear it!

How do your tires look? Have they been rotated regularly? The howling in my rear end was loud. Your video almost sounds like tire noise. The bigger the tire and tread pattern the more they need to be rotated so that they do not wear unevenly and start howling. If you haven't already tried it, flip your tires from front to back and see if the noise moves with the tires.
