headlights

Default headlights

I ordered some hid lights and they sent me 9007 and mine are h13 can I just cut off old housing and connect the 9007 housing to it and will it work the same and fit my headlight housing I have a 2008 ram 1500 st

I wouldnt go doing anything like that. The H13(9008) bulb has more output than the 9007 as well. You'd be going backwards in time.
The 2008 Ram has a TIPM that monitors proper bulb ouput so you could set off a light error message and/or eventually turn the circuit off. Especially if you go hacking up the wires. Doubtful but possible.

I would contact the company and arrange for the correct ones to be shipped out. I wouldn't recommend cutting wires to "make it work." I've been there with my old truck, get something new and get soooo excited to put it on only to find out it doesn't fit. I've tried making things work, but it usually came out worse, so I don't do that anymore.
