If it were me, I would take out the new and put back in the old. If all works well and you verify everything is good, then swap back in the new and check and double check the wiring.
+1 here, if you have a problem with the OEM headlights hooked up then you might have messed up the TPIM or you might have shorted a relay somewhere.
I hate electrical problems... they are the biggest Pain in the @$$.
