Thanks for all your responses - as expected the dealer called me today willing to go lower on the price.

When I was talking with him on the phone he told me the one previous owner had a remote start added to the truck, but removed it prior to trading it in.

They said it was replaced with "quick disconnects" and no wires were spliced into. But should this be a red flag??

 

well it will make installing a R/S yourself a lot easier, but as long as it looks like a quality removal I wouldn't be too concerned about it... just make sure it doesn't have any other starting or electrical issues during your test drive and you're set.

KBB is $28,818 USD. So, they're not too far off. But, I would hold their feet to the fire for $27k and I bet you walk away with it. Geez, I knew diesels held their value better, but that seems really high. But you can't argue with KBB.

 

Well KBB is a good place to look but where the Dealer gets their price from is NADA.com.

And i think KBB just changed to cover more of a area with more accurate price listing.
They used to be Accurate for cars/trucks on the west coast
