I wouldn't suggest testing the airbag sensors yourself, especially with the battery connected, as at any time they might deploy and can cause very serious injury....

Have you tried to pull the C-Codes?

1) Press and Hold the Trip Button on the cluster
2) Insert and Turn Key to On but do not start the truck (while doing step 1)
3) Release Trip Button
4) Watch for codes and write them down EXACTLY as they appear
5) The codes will end with a display of "00" (so if there are no codes "00" will display right away)
6) Post them up here

That might tell you where the problems are with the electrical system.

Oh any btw the scanner he needs to use is the DRBIII scan tool... that will read ALL of the codes that are on the truck... too bad they are like $6,000+

If you camp Ebay, you can ****** one inthe 2K range. However, last word I got is they were running out or out of repair parts for them. I would be looking at other sources if I were buying and expensive scan tool. We have something else to use now. I use a DRB about 1-2 times per week now if that much.

or you can rent the DRBIII Scan tool:

https://millerspecialtools.spx.com/

It's like $150 for 3 days + Postage

Not too bad if you ask me.

I will try pulling the C-Codes Friday when I get back to LBI. You are correct in assuming I don't have the DRBIII tool, Just my little Innova 3100.

FYI I went ahead and ordered an Airbag computer module from a Reputable salvage yard on Ebay for 35 bucks, donor truck rolled over, no frontal impact and no airbag deployment.

I will try replacing the computer as I am 99% sure it got salt water in it.
