OEM Head lights
I have an 06 that is about ready for new head light assemblies. I wanted to ask the forum their successes. I would prefer to go OEM because I heard AND have had some experience with aftermarket lights for a Honda that they can leak or fog up. I tried to find out who builds the OEM Dodge but could not find out whom. Since there are probably more than one producer, I would like to hear of your experiences. Some manufacturers are better than others.
I am not looking to upgrade to the projector beam. I like the look of the OEM.
Thanks,
JB

2006 are solo and have Amber strip at the bottom.
2007/2008 don't have the strip. While you can use the 2007/2008's the wiring is slightly different to accomodate the amber in the 2006's.
You can go to any Online Dodge/Mopar Parts dealer and buy New OEM headlights for big money($380ish for the pair I believe)
Or you can search for nice used one's online. They go for roughly $150shipped. Lots of guys have went to newer style or aftermarket because they didn't like the amber strip, so there's plenty of them out there.
Whatever you do, if you decide to go with projector lights, they DO NOT work well with HID's. The light output sucks on most of them because they are cheaply made and engineered projectors from China.
Also, Black backrounds don't shine as well either. You can get black lights with chrome reflectors and they will be as good as oem for brightness.
Aftermarkets do tend to leak and fog up because the process to seal them isn't as good nor is the material.

Thanks DirtyDog, I like how you did your lights. Nice.
I think I might just order OEM. They cost a bit more, but could not stand to chance the fact the money I save might not give me the satisfaction of a dry lens. I am skeptic about the aftermarket, cheaper brand because of the experience with with the headlights when I rebuilt by daughter Honda after a crash.
