Default Drop in Air Filters

I need opinions here. What are the best drop in air filters for performance. I have gotten rid of the Hemi Hat and modified my intake. Flowmasters will be going on when I get the tuner and pick a filter.

As far as I know they are pretty much all the same. Oiled cotton gauze. Even Fram has 'em now.

Thanks, that's pretty much what I'v been hearing at the speed shops around here too. I might give the AirHog a try I have always used their regular air filters and was happy with those.

Go with whatever works for you. I however had a K&N and returned it. I wasn't as happy with it as i thought i would be. Believe it or not, it acually felt like i lost power with it. Someone told me once that they dynoed at 3hp less then stock with a k&n. Just some food for thought.

You won't get much HP gain with a drop in, that is why I just stick with a quality paper filter and change every 12K miles.
