Default Dreaded C-clip! LOOKING FOR REAREND SHOP IN NJ

Hey all, I'm new on here and just found out that my 2003 dodge Ram 1500 5.7 4x4 3.92 just had one of the dreaded c-clip/retainers walk its way out of its sleeve and started cutting into the passenger side carrier cap, I found it because my Pionion bearing started to make a whining sound and was told it probably went bad because of all the metal dust mixing around in the oil from the retaining clip cutting away at the cap and housing. I have heard that alot of people have been going to Detroit TruTrac carriers to resolve this clip issue.
So now I my delema is.... I havent been able to find a good reputable REAR END specialty shop in NJ, which is hard to beleive..... I did speak to Barry the owner of REARENDSHOP on the west coast and he confirmed that this is a common issue with these trucks and works on them all the time out west, he recomended I remove the passenger side main cap and measure the cut groove and if the cap still has 1/8th" left between the groove and the threads the housing, carrier cap, ring & pinion gears should still be good and that I go with a master rebuild kit with TIMKIN bearings and seals, use my existing gears but put them on a new Detroit TruTrac carrier and be done with it, he said he couldn't believe there are no rearend specialty shops in the NY/NJ area...

I am very hands on with my truck, But this is something i'de rather leave to a specialty shop.

So my question is....Does anyone know of a Rear End Specialty shop in the NY/NJ area????

Thanks for any help guys!

Don’t have your bad one rebuild cuz it will happen again. Get an aftermarket carrier like the Auburn.

Yes vietti, I am planning on going with a Detriot Tru Trac carrier... I wont be rebuiling my stock carrier, makes no sense to... if these retaining/c-clips will just keep breaking them selves appart, also Barry at REARENDSHOP in california said he has installed many of these Detriot tru tracs and non of them have come back....

I just wished I could find a shop that specializes in rearends.... most of the ones i've called say they dont specialize in them and work on them when they have to. which isnt to assuring.

Anyone else know of a shop which Specializes in rear end?
As most of the ones i've contacted shy away from rear end work, apparently not too many mechanic's like working on them because they require very tight and specific tollerances.

Anyone?

Bro to find a shop that specializes in JUST differentials is going to be nearly impossible... you might as well look for a Top notch transmission shop... otherwise you might as well remove the diff yourself and send it back to the manufacturer to have it refurbished...

I have the name of a shop in NJ that does absolute WONDERS with transmissions... the guy literally disassembles the entire gearset and lays stuff out on a clean table in the order it goes together and then replaced/repairs what needs it and reassembles.

Let me look through and find out what it was called, give me a little bit.
