I swear, I checked, double checked and triple checked those pins because I didn't want this exact thing happening.

I will admit though, I was approaching fall down drunk when I did the re-soldering job......It's a top notch job except that I missed a bloody pin.

It never hurts to have a drink once in while twice a week. That wheel is going to cost more to replace than a bottle o'captain.

Best price I've found is $175 for a single rim, or $200 for two....which I had, but then I had to pay rent.

I finish school in Jan. I'm hoping to find a job damn soon after that, when I do everything will be golden.

Except for the lights I bought that came before the rim incident, I've had the parts for everything else I'm doing and so it hasn't cost me a penny.

So get this....now one of my lights in my switches went out. The drivers window switch is no longer illuminated blue.

I don't know what happened. It was on, I blinked then it was off.

This thing is proving to be the bane of my existence and the ultimate test of my skills lol.

I have to disassemble it AGAIN and poke around.... I just wanted to be done with it, the more Ihave to open it up the more I risk breaking tabs or something.

The type of solder being used is only relevant in the amount of heat to melt it. Newer lead free just takes a higher temp to melt than tin/lead solder does.

The amoutn of contamination on the connection is what I'd be concerned about if he's not getting good contact.
