Hello all,

I just acquired an 08 Mega Cab with 6" lift with 315/70/17. I like how the truck look even though it is a little high. I would much preferred 2"-4" lift instead. However, I don't like how the truck bump in the front. It had a hard thump. The lift was done by a local shop but I don't think they are in business now. It has lift coils and shocks in the front. This is my first truck with lift kit.

My question is, how can I improve the ride quality? Will changing the shocks help?

Ok, I got more info on the lift now.

It's Superlift.

Front:
1. 4670 front kit (it's what the paper said)
2. 247 coils (paper said 250) - 6" coils
3. I don't know what brand of shocks. It's white with yellow flex tube. Here is what's on the shock: C05222E2731; 658459

Rear:
1. 4149 rear block kit.
2. don't know the shock either. 006132; 658073

Anyone?

 

if its anything like the jeep world $ equals ride quality, i spent 300bucks on a 4inch lift for my 89 jeep after that road like a 2x4 but later on i went and spent 900bucks on a 6inch lift, alot better ride, i believe shocks have alot to do with it but so does ur spring rate
