What up Weedahoe. I got a problem wih my 2005 1500 quadcab 5.7 Hemi.The the drivers door lock does move freely by hand but does not work with the fob or power lock button. All other doors lock with the Fob and drivers door lock switch. Electrical? Relay? Acuator? Can you please send me the Alldata info and any troubleshooting tips you got. Thanks.

 

Hey boss. Your problem is common and will one or two things.

One possibility is that the wires to the lock that go through the rubber boot from the body to the door have broken wires in them.

The other possibility is that the door lock actuator itself is dead and thus why electrically it doesn't not work

 

Is there any termination point I can meter near the boot? Or do I have to remove actuactor and test from there?

 

You would have to pull the lower kick panel, disconnect the harness from the plug and then pull the door skin, remove harness from the lock and test continuity.
