Default ETC Indicator

So i was on my way back from NC, cruise set, all going good for hours.. This light kicked on, the motor went ape Sh..., sputtered, i put it in neutral and it died. I pulled over, put it in park, restarted it, and it drove fine the rest of the way.

Anyone have any idea why this would happen? Sensor? Which one and where do i find it in the service manual so i can change it or at least be prepared to.

Several threads on here about it. Do search for "electronic throttle control". Also get codes (if any) with code reader or key trick and post.

Hmm, using your search query, there wasn't exactly "several"... I did however read it, should i assume that since this was your suggestion, posts about an 08 avenger (dont think they mentioned motor in it) relate to an 04 ram hemi?

No error codes related to this problem. I have a bully dog in the truck, checked it as soon as it happened, no ETC for it.
