Default exhaust swap

hey guys so i have a 02 quad cab short bed with the 4.7 and my brother in law has an 04 single cab long bed with the hemi. his exhaust is completely rotted out and needs a new one and i just happen to have the almost brand new one off of my truck sitting on the rafters in my garage. will this even work on his truck? i know the motor size shouldnt matter since were not talking about the headers or y pipe just the actual exhaust. i would think it would be routed the exact same way. im not sure but i would also think the trucks are the same length even tho ones a quad cab short bed and his is single can long bed. his truck is also a 2500 3\4 ton my truck is just a 1500 1\2 ton. let me know if this will work. i can fab up a small transistion pipe if needed.

Anything is possible with a little fab work. I don't think it'll be just a bolt on and go thing

so basically i want to know if the catback systems themselves are the same really. i will make an intermediate pipe to connect them if needed. but i want to know if the systems themselves are the same or no.
