Audio Question.
I found a used infinity speaker kit, used of course, out of a megacab 2500. Long story short, i have a 1500 2 door with the standard **** dodge speakers. The package has the door and rear speakers as well as the dash tweeters and center speaker.
Im looking at changing my head unit and possibly bridging the connection for the dash speakers to the rear to have the option to raise and lower the volume from the rear. Since i dont have rear seats... cant really hear much whats going on behind my front seats.
Is it a stupid set up and risk blowing a speaker or head unit.
Not much bass will be ran through them since im most likely going to do a dedicated sub behind my seat and just looking for rich sound.

You need the amp and wiring for the Infinity speakers. The amp does all the filtering. The speakers do not have bass blockers or capacitor type filters on them so they will sound like crap, you'll probably blow them, and they won't run at the correct Ohm resistance as needed.
I'd sell them and get aftermarket speakers. You'll save yourself work and time in the end.

I own a 2007 dodge dakota ext cab and im wanting to put a 12' sub and amp into it. I was planning on using the original truck stereo. Do i need to change the door speakers as well and do i need to buy a new wirinig harness for the original radio to wire up the subs and amp?
